Henk Schutten (1960) heeft altijd een zwak gehad voor mensen die buiten de gebaande paden denken. Hij verkeerde tussen oplichters en criminelen, maar interviewde ook ceo’s, filmsterren, staatshoofden en Nobelprijswinnaars. Tijdens zijn studie Journaiistiek werd hij aangenomen door weekblad Elsevier. Hij werkte vervolgens onder meer voor de Haagse Post, de Haagsche Courant, Het Parool en meer recent De Telegraaf en Follow The Money. Zijn eerste boek, over het Octopus-misdaadsyndicaat, stond maandenlang in de boeken-top 10. Als financieel verslaggever maakte hij de opkomst en neergang van de grote Nederlandse grootbanken mee en aan de vooravond van de oorlog in Irak schreef hij een boek over de ondergang van Saddam Hoessein. Met misdaadverslaggever Paul Vugts publiceerde hij de bestseller ‘Hells Angels - Motorclub of Misdaadbende’. Hij richtte een eigen uitgeverij op, liep vier marathons, componeert elektronische muziek, is getrouwd en heeft één zoon.
