Bio
A natural-born storyteller, with over two decades of ghostwriting, journalism, content creation, training, research, and novelist experience. Raised in a catholic school, Elizabeth found her creative inspiration through the school’s library. Where she devoured the entire section of old high-fantasy novels, fairytales, folklore, and mythology. However, when it was time for Elizabeth to explore her passion in college, a surprise visitor arrived, her first of four children.
Passing on her favorite tales, Elizabeth started working for the medical field to get through college, doing anything and everything. Nothing could detour her, as she got her MA in Anthropology- folklore studies, learning how to write ethnologies and academic works, while tutoring and working full-time. Elizabeth’s writing career began in journalism, writing for the local papers and creating inserts for small companies. Realizing she needed to make more money, Elizabeth moved across the country to take a job at a level-four bank. But Elizabeth never stopped taking ghostwriting projects, until she was finally able to write full-time! She left the bank and started creating content for small businesses.
Elizabeth moved on to change her pen name to Betsy Cole, helping to create over fifteen novellas, twenty academic works, and ten children’s books. Elizabeth’s first book sold out on Amazon and made Barnes& Noble’s best-seller’s list. After her career took off, Elizabeth got married, only to go through a traumatic experience with her fourth child’s labor and delivery. After five years of damage, Elizabeth was admitted to the ICU, placed on Hospice, and her family was ready to say goodbye… When suddenly, the medical device that was implemented after her fourth child, was removed by a fluke chance. Elizabeth was cured and eventually released! Her complex experience inspired her to create a High Sci-fantasy series, rooted in her childhood passion for organic tales. Her interactive novels, “The Gallar Cone Series,” evolved while she healed.
After ten years of work, each novel comes out faithfully each October. The series is broken down into an eight-piece interactive concept, with a glossary companion, maps, illustrations, songs, games, languages, and a book within the book, all created by the author herself. Proud of her dedicated work, Elizabeth realized that she missed helping others create real-life content, so she began ghostwriting again. Now, Elizabeth is more than excited to continue her career with StoryTerrace!
