Bio
I have always been a storyteller. I lived in New York City for more than a decade where I worked as an actor. I had many auditions over the years, but one of the most memorable auditions was for the game show Wheel of Fortune.
I recorded a video audition when I was home during a hurricane. There was nothing else to do so I thought, why not? After I submitted my video audition, I was asked to attend an in-person audition for the show’s 30th season. I had just returned from a weekend trip to Las Vegas to run a half-marathon. I was a little tired from the trip but I brought all my energy and excitement to the table. It was a group audition so I cheered on other “contestants” as we all guessed letters and solved puzzles.
After the audition, I was told I’d get a postcard in the mail if I were selected to be a contestant. Sure enough, a couple weeks later, I was leaving town for the Christmas holiday. I thought let me check the mail one last time before I go. And lo and behold, it was there! I’d been selected to be on the game show I watched since I was a little girl. It was the best Christmas present!
Just a few short weeks later, I was on my way to Culver City for the show taping. It was such a fun experience! Ultimately, I finished second but it was so close between me and the guy who won. My next goal is to one day make it on The Price is Right or the reality television show The Amazing Race.
