Bio
Since receiving her master’s degree in political journalism and global affairs from Columbia University School of Journalism in 2016, Selin has been working in Harlem as an independent journalist. She documented the plight of Syrian refugees in Turkey for the Pulitzer Center and wrote cultural criticism for the Village Voice and the Paris Review. Her experience with survivors of trauma has informed all of her work, and her approach to any story is one of great respect for the storyteller. In her spare time, she reads, cooks, and runs marathons.
